Pelvic Floor Society

Little About Us

We are a group of doctors of different specialities dealing with the pelvic floor who have got together to start this pelvic floor society in India.

This is the first society of its kind in India and it enables patients to get information regarding dealing with pelvic floor issues. This group of disorder include urinary and bowel incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, bladder pain and other rare conditions which are difficult to treat and require a multidisciplinary approach

Aim and Objectives

To create a platform where likeminded doctors dealing with pelvic floor issues can discuss with each other directly, through mdts and conferences. This is to ensure that we keep abreast of all recent advances and help each other to ensure best treatment for our patients

To provide patients with information about pelvic floor issues and deal with them

Create awareness in the community about this group of disorders which have a taboo and not commonly discussed. We hope to increase the number of patients who will seek medical help as more and better treatment options are available and people don’t have to live with the same

We hope to tie up with similar societies in the world to increase our knowledge and offer the latest advances in treatment to our patient

We want doctors with interest in pelvic floor to register with this society as it is an academic society and not an umbrella body of any governmental or non-governmental organization

Doctors from any speciality dealing with pelvic floor are welcome to join. This includes gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, urologists, urogynaecologists, gynaecologists, physiotherapists, pain specialists and nurse specialists.

All the money collected will be used only for academic and charity activities only. We have applied to the charity commissioner for the same
